Chris
Gibbs - Writer, Producer, The Penumbra
Chris
Gibbs is a comedian, writer and actor, originally from
the UK, best known for the award-winning critically
acclaimed one-man comedy shows which he performs all
over Canada and beyond. The National Post has described
him as “One of the funniest guys around”;
the Toronto Star has called his shows “darkly
gleeful” and “comic stand-up gold”;
and the CBC has described his delivery as “a
combination of dry wit and barely controlled madness
that threatens to go off the rails at any time.”
He’s played at Theatre and Fringe Festivals across
Canada, winning numerous ‘Best of Fringe’
awards, and has also appeared at the Just For Laughs
Festival in Montreal and the CBC Winnipeg Comedy Festival.
His one-man play, ‘Antoine Feval’ was recently
chosen to be a part of Bell TV’s televised series
of theatre performances, ‘OnStage 2 On Demand’.
He starred in the indie feature ‘Run Robot Run’
and co-wrote the spoof self-help book ‘The Power
of Ignorance’. In 2016 he will be seen but not
recognised as one of the evil giants in Steven Spielberg's
The BFG.

A mysterious enigma, Nathan Taylor has been making movies
look good since the 1990s, working behind the camera in
big budget movies, TV and commercials as well as independent
projects like The Penumbra. He's a photographer too, often
using mountain-climbing skills and well-placed mirrors
to take elaborate 'selfies' like the picture to the left. |
